What has this year looked like? 2020
We have been working with our partnership teaching schools (ECTSW www.ectsw.org.uk) on continuing training online.
Due to the delays and decrease in support due to Covid-19 we have continued all our training online, this has been a great success for both trainers and trainees.
Good variety of tasks e.g. videos, research. Nice and interactive too and great opportunity for discussion and reflection.
The interaction between the group was supportive and informative.
A success! – and the host did a great job of including everyone
RQTSW Regional Conference – 25th November 2019
The day was truly inspirational, allowing me to speak with colleagues about the practice in our school and what the next steps could be for our team. Having the time to speak in depth about strategies that we can now tweak and the time to discuss and question our own practice together was truly valuable – thank you.
This was an inspiring day with guest speakers who clearly know their subject matter, backed up by recent research and relevant practical expertise / experiences.
The conference brought so much of what I do or don’t do in my practise to the surface and allowed me to reflect on what is going well and how I can improve on my teaching. So many things I can go away and use in the classroom straightaway. The information given will change my classroom ethos for the better in many different ways.
This should be shared with all schools and staff levels.
The RQTSW Conference provided detailed research and examples of real classroom strategies to inspire and motivate reluctant learners, presented in a way which managed to inspire and motivate reluctant teachers in the process.
